Christina Ricci, All Groweds Up (and Gorgeous)
If you haven’t given Christina Ricci much thought since her days as a child star in early 90s classics like Mermaids and the Addams Family movies, prepare to be blown away: She is all grown up now - 30, to be exact - and quite the raven-haired bombshell. I just love her super straight, glossy black mane, accented by blunt-cut bangs - even more so because I know it’s actually a very easy style to do yourself!
If you want to imitate Christina’s 21st century answer to 50s-era sex kitten Bettie Page, you’re going to want to start with the best flat irons. Why? Because cheap flat irons will damage and/or cook your hair, and a big part of the appeal lies in having perfectly smooth, shiny locks. I prefer to use a Chi hair straightener whenever possible bceause they’re easy to use and very kind to my hair.
Simply divide your hair into sections and straighten one at a time, doing no more than 1-2 passes with the iron per section. Finish with a shine serum to add glossiness and tame flyaways. Of course, you’re going to need the cut and color first, so ask your stlist for a cut that’s all one length with blunt bangs that hit just above the eyebrow and a dark brown color. (Dark brown is more flattering than true black on most complexions.) Now go break some hearts, you vixen!
